Utility relocation efforts, including utility conflict investigation, potholing, and utility relocation design, etc., are not included in this scope. 12. U.S. Customary (English) units will be used for all geometric design. Phase 2b -OPTIONAL TASK - Detailed Design Survey and Additional Design Feasibility As an optional task, we have listed the following potential surveying services for more detailed analysis of the preferred alternative. 1 . 1 "=40' - 1' contours, limits 1500' beyond all gore points on the freeway (approximately 6,000'), 50' beyond Meadowlark Drive to the west and 50' beyond Valley Avenue on the east (approximately 2,600') 100' beyond the roadway and/or freeway rights of way to each side of the roads. 2. Same as #1 above at 1 "=100' - 2' contours. 3. Same as #2 above except limits along the freeway to include the next upstream and downstream intersections (approximately 17,000'). Additional Services We will, if authorized by you, perform other services, that may be required. Additional services may include, but are not limited to the following: - Attendance at meetings or hearings Traffic forecasts Additional traffic counts Coordination with Colirans or others Revision of our analyses or project documentation based on project scenario changes Additional services shall be performed on a lump sum or time and materials basis. Our time and materials fee shall include labor fees to be computed on the basis of hours spent on the project and KHA's schedule of hourly billing rates in effect aT the time extra services are rendered, plus a fee of 6.15 percent of the labor fee for such project expenses as in-house duplicating, facsimile, local mileage, telephone, postage, in-house and blueprinting. Other direct expenses, if any, will be billed at a multiplier of 1.15 times cost.
