a
Q
r
City of Pleasanton
i, y
Task 2.3.2 Project Review Meeting -KHA will meet with City Staff to discuss the results of the
feasibility study and the technical memorandum and answer any outstanding questions and
comments about the preferred alternative design.
Task 2.3.3 Final Technical Memorandum -Following the City's review and receipt of comments,
KHA will prepare a final technical memorandum and submit three (3) hard copies and an electronic
copy for your use.
As~umption~
1 . Provision of an order of magnitude opinion of probable construction costs is not included in this
scope; however, KHA can provide these efforts as extra services.
2. Assessment of feasibility of existing and proposed structures, or preparation of advance
planning studies for any facilities, including retaining walls, culverts, pump stations, and
bridges, etc, is not included in this scope.
3. Impact of possible high groundwater table on the viability of the geometrics is not included in
this scope.
4. Consideration of construction details, earthwork limits, existing drainage facilities, hydrology,
hydraulics, depth to groundwater, pavement sections, materials, drainage patterns, utility
conflicts /relocation, construction staging, traffic handling, pavement delineation, signing,
irrigation, planting, landscaping, signals, lighting, other electrical facilities, environmental
resources, and right-of-way acquisition areas and costs is not included in this scope.
J. Existing topographic aerial mapping (1 :40' scale with 2' contours and spot elevations), to be
provided by the City, will be used as a base to draw horizontal geometrics. Existing contour lines
and spot elevations will be read-off the topographic aerial mapping and used as the source of
plotting existing ground elevations for vertical geometrics. Research and use of any additional
source of data is not included in this scope; however, KHA can provide these efforts as extra
services.
6. AutoCAD 2007 will be used for CADD /Drafting work, including the creation of vertical profile.
?. The exact horizontal and vertical alignment for the ramps, as well as the configuration of future
lanes will need to be studied further. Determination of the optimum alignment and structure
configuration, etc., will require environmental studies, a public outreach process, detailed traffic
studies, and additional engineering.
8. This geometric feasibility study will only determine the geometric feasibility of the ramps but will
not address whether Caltrans will approve any non-standard design or policy issues associated
with the proposed geometrics. It is also noted that addition and removal of access points to the
interstate freeway system will require approval from The Federal Highway Administration
(FHWA). KHA cannot ensure that Caltrans and FHWA will approve the proposed geometric
concept.
C~^
IV. Project Delivery 17
TL820087.08
