Public Works <br />10. Public Hearing: 2008/09 Annual assessments for Landscape and Lighting Maintenance <br />Districts: Adopted Resolution No. 08-275 confirming the Engineer's Report and Levying <br />the 2008-09 assessment for District 1984-1 (Ponderosa-Del Prado); Resolution No. 08- <br />216 confirming the Engineer's Report and Levying the 2008-09 assessment for 1993-1 <br />(Windsor); Resolution No. 08-217 confirming the Engineer's Report and Levying the <br />2008-09 assessment for 1993-2 (Bonde Ranch); Resolution No. 08-218 confirming the <br />Engineer's Report and Levying the 2008-09 assessment for 1994-1 (Oak Tree Farm); <br />Resolution No. 08-219 confirming the Engineer's Report and Levying the 2008-09 <br />assessment for 1995-1 (Moller Ranch) <br />11. Approved "as needed" contracts for various out-sourced contractor services <br />12. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a consultant agreement with Fehr <br />and Peers in the amount of $69,650 to prepare a traffic impact study for the Pleasanton <br />Gateway project <br />13. Accepted the finding that the creation of a wetland and riparian mitigation site for the <br />Bernal Avenue Bridge Project, CIP No. 995067, located at the southwest corner of Valley <br />Avenue and Laguna Creek Lane, is consistent with the Bernal Property Specific Plan <br />Councilmember McGovern confirmed that the wetland and riparian mitigation site will be <br />constructed at the same time as the bridge and will compliment the existing trail that has been <br />constructed to date. <br />Christina Saldivar, Executive Director, Pleasanton Downtown Association, thanked the City and <br />staff for the work done to obtain the railroad corridor, which would provide over 400 parking <br />spaces downtown. <br />Debbie Look, Campaign Director of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Foundation, offered her <br />congratulations to the City and County officials on the agreement to purchase the transportation <br />corridor, which marks an important step in the revitalization of downtown Pleasanton. <br />John Loll, incoming President of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Foundation and member of the <br />Civic Arts Commission, expressed his support for the City's acquisition of the railroad corridor, <br />discussed its investment and importance for the downtown. <br />14. Approved plans and specifications, reviewed bids, awarded and authorized the City <br />Manager to execute a construction contract to Gordon N. Ball Inc., in the amount of <br />$3,917,374; approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a consultant <br />agreement in the amount of $269,940 with S&C Engineering, Inc., to provide construction <br />management and inspection support services for the Bernal Avenue Bridge and street <br />widening from Vineyard Avenue to Del Valle Parkway, CIP No(s). 995067 and 005029 and <br />Del Valle Parkway/Nevada Street Sewer Improvements, CIP No. 902028; authorized the <br />Director of Public Works to approve and execute contract change orders for a contingency <br />not to exceed $587,676 for necessary related project work; authorized the transfer of <br />$525,000 from CIP No. 995066, Bernal Avenue Bridge & Bernal Avenue Street Widening; <br />and approved the creation of wetland and riparian mitigation sites in the Arroyo del Valle <br />and a the Bernal property adjacent to Mission Creek -Sullivan voting no <br />Regular City Council/ <br />Library Board of Trustees Minutes 3 June 17, 2008 <br />
