A. Not later than 45 days prior to enrolling in a <br /> junior college, college or university, make written <br /> application to the Education Standards Committee in <br /> order that the Committee may: (1) determine the <br /> employee's eligibility to enroll in the Education <br /> Incentive Plan and (2) determine the job relatedness <br /> of the educationallevel to be pursued. The <br /> Educational Standards Committee shall inform the <br /> employee in writing of their determinaiton not later <br /> than 30 days following their receipt of the <br /> employee's request to enroll in the Educational <br /> Incentive Pay Plan. <br /> <br /> B. The written application submitted to the Educational <br /> Standards Committee must include the following: <br /> <br /> 1. A description of the educational level to be <br /> pursued; <br /> 2. Employee's pursuing a specific number of <br /> college credits as set forth in this plan in <br /> lieu of a degree must submit a list of courses <br /> to be taken. Of the college credits submitted, <br /> elective (non-job related), courses shall not <br /> exceed the proportionate number of elective <br /> courses permitted under approved college degree <br /> programs. <br /> <br /> C. Prior to enrollment in a junior college, college, or <br /> university, the employee must have received written <br /> approval from the Educational Standards Committee as <br /> to his/her eligibility to enroll in the Educational <br /> Incentive Plan and the job relatedness of the <br /> educational level to be pursued. <br /> <br /> NOTE: No employee shall receive educational <br /> incentive pay for any educational level attained <br /> unless he/she has received advanced written approval <br /> from the Educational Standards Committee as set <br /> forth in this section. <br /> <br /> D. The junior college, college, or university from <br /> which an educational level is to be received must be <br /> accredited by the Western Association of Schools and <br /> Colleges. <br /> <br />19.5 Educational Levels/Pay <br /> <br /> Educational levels attained under the Incentive Pay Plan <br /> must be completed with a total grade point average of "C" <br /> or better. The specific levels of educational achievement <br /> and their respective educational pay percentages to which <br /> the educational incentive pay plan applies are as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> -25- <br /> <br /> <br />
