MEtQORAPdDUM
January 11, 1980
TO: Planning Commission
FROM: Engineering Services
SUBJECT: Report on Tentative Map Tract 4239, Twelve Oaks as
.required by Section 2-2.07, Article 1, Chapter 1,
Title II of the Ordinance Code.
This report represents consideration by the Department of
Engineering Services and does not contain specific comments from
other City departments or interested outside agencies.
This map is for a 28 lot single-family residential subdivision of
a 74.51 acre site. This project was approved under PUD-79-2.
Street Geometries
The proposed street system is generally acceptable as shown.
Longview Drive was originally designed as a 50 ft. wide
residential collector street for the first 1000 ft. west of
Foothill Road, modified to delete sidewalks and the remainder
of Longview was designed as a 46 ft. wide minor residential
street with 36 ft. curb to curb. This project will complete
the second half of Longview Drive and provide a 40 ft. wide
street curb to curb from Foothill to the private roadway with
36 ft. curb to curb beyond.
Unless specifically modified by the City Council at the time
of development plan approval or by the Planning Commission at
the time of approval of this tentative map, the development shall
conform to all applicable ordinances and regulations of the City
of Pleasanton and all other agencies having jurisdiction.
Engineering Services recommends approval of Tentative Map Tract
4239 subject to the following conditions:
1. That approval for the precise street widths, alignment,
grade, and structural sections be withheld pending final
design.
2. That Foothill Road be designed and constructed to provide
for safe turning movements with right turn lanes and left
turn pockets as required and as approved by the City Engineer.
