Commissioner Pentin indicated: 1) he understood the need for higher density with the 3-sotry buildings,
but would like to see view sites; 2) has concerns mixing public/senior uses and maintaining security; and
3) believes the Council should understand the need for replacing Regalia House with a concrete option.
Commissioner Kinzer discussed with Commissioner Pentin his concern about losing Regalia House as a
viable resource facility within the City.
A motion was made by Commissioner Kinzer, seconded by Commissioner Pentin, to approve the
Kottinger Place Redevelopment Conceptual Site Plan with the caveat that before final approval is given,
the Regalia House resources are clearly outlined, and the City Room concepts are fully defined as a
resource available to the City as is currently provided with Regalia House. Additionally, details of size
and uses of the City Room should be brought back to the Commission for consideration.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
AYES: Commissioners Dibiase, Ellgas, Kinzer, Pentin, and Chairperson Kummer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes
April 10, 2008
Page 3
