CALL TO ORDER -PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chairperson Kummer called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was recited. 2. ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Commissioners Jim Dibiase, Karen Ellgas, Teddy Kinzer, Jerry Pentin, Herb Ritter, and Chairperson Kurt Kummer. Commissioners Absent: None. Staff Present: Jim Wolfe, Parks and Community Services Director; Steve Bocian, Assistant City Manager; Lisa Hagopian, Parks Maintenance Superintendent; Fan Ventura, Management Analyst, Mike Fulford: City Landscape Architect; and Edith Caponigro, Recording Secretary. B. Discussion Regarding the Kottinger Place Redevelopment Conceptual Site Plan Mr. Steve Bocian noted that in November 2003, the City Council authorized staff to begin studying the potential replacement, expansion and/or renovation of Kottinger Place, the 50-unit affordable senior facility owned by the City of Pleasanton Housing Authority. To assist with the project, the City Council entered into an agreement with Christian Church Homes (CCH) to coordinate the predevelopment process. CCH has prepared several conceptual site plans which address project needs. In October 2007, the Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed the preferred development scenario and provided comments. Based on these comments, CCH prepared three (3) draft site plans that attempt to address the Task Force, public, and Commission comments. The plans were reviewed by the Task Force at a meeting on March 6, and Site Plan 1 was selected as the preferred option. The plan includes 150 total units, including two (2), 3-story buildings and vehicular access from both Vineyard Avenue and Kottinger Drive, without through traffic.
