Obtain field surveys outside
Caltrans right-of-way, and receive data from Caltrans
survey work within their right-of-way. Prepare overall
survey control map and topographic base maps for future
design drawings.

Task 1-2.2: Right-of-Way Work

Define additional right-of-way acquisitions required for
the interchange construction based on the preliminary
geometrics prepared by Caltrans, including temporary
construction easements. Prepare right-of-way maps
conforming to Caltrans requirements. Provide
information to City for use in obtaining property
parcels. Develop a soils
investigation program in conformance wit~ Caltrans
requirements and coordinate the geotechnical field work.
Include consideration of settlement, seismicity, bearing
pressures, compaction, site preparation requirements,
and pavement structural sections. Perform field borings
and test pits off the Caltrans right-of-way and conduct
the appropriate laboratory analyses on the soil samples.
Receive the soils investigation data or soil samples
from Caltrans from their borings or test pits located
within the Caltrans right-of-way.
