EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> Page Two <br /> <br /> 6. The CITY shall undertake to train and cause to be certified as Emergency <br /> Medical' Technicians I (EMT-I I personnel who are regularly dispatched as first res,oonders <br /> on medical emergencies. <br /> <br /> 7. The CITY shall adhere to reasonable medical protocols/guidelines established <br /> by the County Health Officer. <br /> <br /> 8. The CITY agrees to complete a First Responder Prehospital Care Report <br /> on a form provided by the COUNTY in accordance with medical protocols/guidelines <br /> established by the County Health Officer. <br /> <br /> 9. The CITY agrees to participate in meetings and committees sponsored <br /> by COUNTY related to EMS activities, when available. <br /> <br /> 10. The COUNTY will immediately notifv the CITY of all emergency ambulance <br />requests to locations within the territory of 'the CITY which were not originated <br />through the CITY'S PSAP.. <br /> <br /> 11. The COUNTY shall investigate and keep records of complaints against <br />ambulance contractors, their personnel and/or their procedures. The CITY shall <br />give reasonable assistance to the COUNTY in COUNTYIS investigation of such cor~- <br />plaints in whicl~ the CITY is a complaining party. Tl~e 'COUNTY shall notify CITY <br />of the final disposition of all complaints where the CITY is a Complaining party. <br />The CITY shall investigate and keep records of cdmp)aii~ts concerning CIT'Y'S first <br />r~sponder service and shall report the final dispo'.~ition of such complaints to COUNTY. <br /> <br /> 12. The COUNTY shall provide the CITY with timely quarterly statistical <br />reports on all emergency ambulance requests originating within the CITY, <br /> <br /> 13, The CITY shall make reasonable efforts to assist the COUNTY in collection <br />of statistical data regarding the CITY'S responses to medical emergencies. <br /> <br /> 14. The COUNTY shall'provide, through its Emergency Ambulance Service <br />Agreements and subject to availability of a contract ambulance, standby ambulance <br />service upon the request of a CITY public safety agency at no charge to the CITY. <br /> <br /> 15. The COUNTY shall provide emergency ambulance service staffed with <br />~aersonnel certified in accordance with State laws and regulations and County standards <br />in its Emergency Ambulance Service Agreements. Ambulance contractors shall establish <br />minimum standards for physical ability which all~C;~IT |:personnel must meet. <br /> <br /> 16. The COUNTY shall ensure that, when CITY public safe y personnel <br />accompany a patient to the hospital in a COUNTY-contract ambulance to assist with <br />patient care, the ambulance contractor shall make all reasonable efforts to return <br />said personnel promptly to their station or vehicle location. <br /> <br /> <br />
