b. Maximum Sweeping Coverage. Sweeping shall be <br /> scheduled to maximize the area of street and/or parking lot <br /> being swept by minimizing interference by parked vehicles. <br /> Sweeping shall be scheduled and done in such a way as to <br /> minimize noise complaints in residential areas. The Director <br /> may require revisions in the hours and/or manner of operation <br /> as necessary to maximize sweeping coverage and/or to minimize <br /> noise complaints. <br /> <br /> c. Disposal of Debris. The Contractor shall dispose <br /> of all refuse collected by hauling the same to a legal dump <br /> and/or transfer station. The Contractor shall be responsible <br /> for payment of any and all fees for disposal. <br /> <br /> d. Use of Dumpsters. If large trash containers <br /> ("dumpsters") are used to accept refuse collected by the <br /> mechanical sweeper prior to transport to a dump and/or <br /> transfer station, the dumpsters shall be emptied daily. <br /> <br /> (1) The Contractor shall apply for and receive an <br /> encroachment permit prior to placing any dumpster within <br /> any City right-of-way or other public place. As single <br /> encroachment permit may be issued for all locations and <br /> times and may be conditioned as necessary to minimize <br /> noise, traffic hazard, and other such impacts. <br /> <br /> (2) Dumpsters shall be located in non-residential <br /> areas. <br /> <br /> (3) Dumpsters shall not be positioned So as to <br /> create a traffic hazard and, if allowed to be left on <br /> streets during nighttime hours, shall be marked with a <br /> minimum of three (3) lighted traffic barricades. <br /> <br /> 5. Compensation. The City agrees to pay, and Contractor <br />agrees to accept as full compensation therefor, the following: <br /> <br /> a. Existing gity_Streets. Total compensation for <br /> existing streets shall be according to the schedule below: <br /> <br /> ,January $7 380 00 July $6,840.00 <br /> February 6 840 00 August 7,380.00 <br /> March 6 840 00 September 6,840.00 <br /> April 6 840 00 October 7,380.00 <br /> May 7 380 00 November 6,840.00 <br /> June 6 840 00 December 6,840.00 <br /> <br /> Total compensation for existing city streets for the <br /> period March 18, 1986 to March 18, 1987 shall be Eighty-four <br /> Thousand Two Hundred and Forty Dollars ($84,240.00) and on <br /> each subsequent annual renewal 'the total compensation figure <br /> may be renegotiated at least thirty (30) days prior to the <br /> expiration date, unless extended by mutual consent of both <br /> parties hereto. <br /> <br /> - 4 - <br /> <br /> <br />
