Resolution No. PC-87-46 <br />4/22/87 <br />WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of CEQA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves Case UP-S7-6, application of Larry Evans for <br />a conditional use permit to operate a game arcade <br />located at 4301 Valley Avenue subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. That the landlord shall provide additional lighting <br />in the parking area of the subject property if <br />determined necessary by the Police Department. <br />This lighting shall be installed at the applicant's <br />expense and shall be for the purpose of allowing <br />proper surveillance of the subject property by the <br />Police Department. <br />2. That at least one adult <br />on the premises at all <br />there shall be at least <br />duty on the premises on <br />preholidays; a security <br />adult supervisor. <br />supervisor shall be on duty <br />times. After 6:00 p.m. <br />two adult supervisors on <br />Fridays, Saturdays, and <br />guard may qualify as one <br />3. That hours of operation of the game room shall be <br />as follows: Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. to <br />10:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to <br />Midnight; and Sunday 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m.. <br />Adjustments to the hours of operation will require <br />approval of the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development. <br />4. That the applicant be aware that the use of the <br />premises as a game room is an A3 occupancy type <br />which requires at least two exit doors, panic <br />hardware on all doors, signs, etc. and that the <br />applicant should consult with the City Fire Marshal <br />for further information and requirements. <br />5. That signs shall be posted at all seven entrance <br />driveways to Valley Plaza and Mission Plaza, along <br />both the Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road <br />frontages. Said signs shall state the enforcement <br />of Section 21107.8 of the California Vehicle Code <br />(CVC) on the subject premises, and shall be <br />designed and sited as prescribed in the CVC. In <br />the event that signs are not posted as required <br />above, this approval shall become null and void. <br />6. That the applicant shall maintain bicycle racks in <br />at least two parking spaces adjacent to the <br />entrance to the game room. The layout of the bike <br />rack area shall be subject to approval by the <br />- 2 - <br />
