pump station, located at the City's Fire Station #5, will be completed by the end of May,
2008. Currently, the bulk of the pump station construction is complete with landscaping
around the station being the final phase. Based on current remaining work and project
expenditures, the remaining $129,013 project contingency should be sufficient to
complete the Vineyard Corridor Water Infrastructure projects.
Water Tank Access Road
Another of the water infrastructure projects to be completed is the water tank access
road, which has been rough graded and the wet utilities (storm, water and sewer) and
dry utilities (cable, electrical, and phone) have been installed. The completion of
required retaining walls and the final grading and pavement being constructed as part of
the Reznick development is anticipated to be completed within the next few months.
In order for the City's contractor to rough grade the access road up to the reservoir and
place temporary stockpiling of soil excavated from the reservoir onto the adjoining
Threehand's property, it was necessary for the City to obtain a temporary construction
easement from the owner. Now that the tank improvements are complete, the City can
abandon its interest in that easement.
At the time of final acceptance of the new Water Booster Pump Station and the
completion of the tank access road, a final accounting of water facility expenditures will
be brought to City Council.
Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approv by:
_~
~~ ~ r
Rob Wilson David P.
