2. Monthly Retirement Costs paid by city. <br /> <br /> 3. Monthly Health Insurance Premiums paid by city. <br /> <br /> 4. Monthly Life Insurance Premiums paid by city. <br /> <br /> 5. Monthly Dental Premiums paid by city. <br /> <br /> 6. Monthly Long Term Disability Premiums paid by city. <br /> <br /> 7. Holiday. Pay (calculated on a monthly basis) paid by <br /> city using the formulas set forth in Appendix B. <br /> <br /> 8. Uniform Allowance (calculated on a monthly basis) <br /> paid by city. The monthly uniform allowance paid <br /> by the City of Palo Alto shall be calculated as <br /> $60.00 per month. <br /> <br /> The resultant increase in total compensation (if any) shall <br /> be distributed first to offset any increase on June 1, 1987 <br /> in the present Kaiser health insurance plan monthly premium <br /> for full family coverage, any increase effective January 1, <br /> 1987 in the monthly premium for the present dental plan, and <br /> any increase effective April 1, 1987 in the present long term <br /> disability plan. Any money remaining after the foregoing <br /> distribution shall be used to increase the monthly base wage <br /> of the classification of police officer and police sergeant <br /> to include offsetting any increase in retirement costs <br /> resulting therefrom. <br /> <br />5.2 Field Training Officer Pay <br /> <br /> Qualified field training officers shall receive an <br /> amount equal to five percent (5%) of their base monthly <br /> pay for each month they devote five (5) days or more to <br /> the training of new full time or reserve officers. <br /> <br />5.3 On Call Pay <br /> <br /> Employees who on their scheduled days off duty are <br /> placed on an on call status by a supervisor for a <br /> minimum period of eight (8) hours or more shall receive <br /> an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of their hourly <br /> base rate of pay for each hour spent on call. <br /> <br />5.4 Entrance Salary <br /> <br /> The entrance salary for a new employee entering the City <br /> service shall be the minimum salary for the class to <br /> which he/she is appointed.
