AGREEMENT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR PROPOSED BERNAL AVENUE, FIRST STREET INTERSECTION PROJECT NO. 86-1 PARTIES: THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this 5th day of May, 1987, between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a Municipal Corporation in the State of California, hereinafter called "City" and ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, a corporation having a place of business at 205F Main Street, Pleasanton, California, hereinafter called "Surveyor." WHEREAS, construction is set to begin for the Proposed Bernal Avenue, First Street Intersection in Pleasanton (herein called "Project"); and WHEREAS, City desires to retain surveyor to provide surveying services, and surveyor is qualified and licensed to perform the professional surveying services required under the terms of this agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, the parties do agree as follows: Section A - Scope of Services The Surveyor shall provide the following services: Under the direction of the City Engineer, provide surveying services as outlined in the document entitled "Exhibit A, Scope of Work, City of Pleasanton, Bernal Avenue, First Street Intersection." Section B - Compensation and Payment Method The City shall reimburse the Surveyor for services performed as described in Section A on a "time-and-materials" basis at the rates described in attached Exhibit "B." The total compensation and reimbursement paid hereunder for the services described in Section A shall not exceed a maximum sum of Sixteen Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars (16,750), unless otherwise agreed by the parties in writing. Surveyor shall submit invoices to the City on a monthly basis. Invoices shall indicate the time actually spent on the project by the surveyor's employees. The City shall render payment to the Surveyor within ten (10) days of receipt of each invoice. SR87: 196
