fine based on the appraised value of the tree(s) exceeds the bond amount, the <br />applicant shall pay the difference between the bond and the appraised value of <br />the subject tree(s). <br />61. Prior to construction, temporary six-foot tall chain link fencing or other fence type <br />acceptable to the Planning Director shall be installed around the existing trees to <br />be saved. The final location of said fencing shall be subject to the review and <br />approval of the Planning Director. Fencing shall remain in place until final <br />inspection by the Planning Department; removal of said fencing prior to that time <br />may result in a "stop work" order. In addition, the following tree preservation <br />methods shall be followed for the existing trees to be preserved: <br />a. The applicants shall utilize its best efforts to locate any new utility trenches <br />outside the dripline of the existing trees to be saved. If this is not feasible, <br />then the applicant shall submit a report from a certified arborist acceptable <br />to the City that indicates the trenching will not be detrimental to the health <br />of the trees. <br />b. No oil, gasoline, chemicals, or other harmful materials shall be deposited <br />or disposed within the dripline of the trees or in drainage channels, <br />swales, or areas that may lead to the dripline. <br />c. No signs, wires, or ropes shall be attached to the trees. <br />d. No stockpiling/storage of construction materials, fill, etc., shall take place <br />underneath or within 5' of the dripline of the existing trees. <br />e. No equipment or temporary structures shall be placed within or beneath <br />the dripline of the existing trees. <br />Failure to comply with these requirements may result in a "stop-work" order. <br />Green Buildin <br />62. The approved Green Building Checklist shall be shown on one of the first two <br />pages of the plans submitted for the issuance of a building permit. The sheet <br />number(s) where each checklist item is addressed in the plan set shall be noted <br />on the checklist. All proposed green building measures shall be shown <br />throughout the plan set, as appropriate, as determined by the Planning Director <br />and the Chief Building Official. <br />63. The Building and Safety Division may require special inspections for the green <br />building measures proposed. If required, the applicant shall provide verification <br />to the Planning Department clearly stating that the Building and Safety Division <br />has inspected and approved all applicable special inspections relating to green <br />
