STAFF REPORT 87:168 <br />'APRIL 21, 1987 <br /> PAGE 3 <br /> <br /> - Realignment of current RIDEO Route 5 to improve on-time <br /> performance as well as to provide more direct access to <br /> Junction Avenue Middle School. <br /> <br /> - Modifications to the schedule of Rideo Route 1 in order <br /> to provide more convenient use by students at Livermore <br /> High School. <br /> <br /> - Realignment of Routes 6 and 7 in the residential areas <br /> located north of East Avenue. <br /> <br /> - Extension of current Wheels Route 2 to provide direct <br /> service during off-peak periods to Stoneridge Mall. <br /> <br /> - Realignment of one a.m. and one p.m. trip on Route 2 to <br /> provide direct access from the Valley Trails area of <br /> Pleasanton to Foothill High School. <br /> <br /> - Realignment of Route 3 in the Vintage Hills area of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> - Modifications to service in low density areas during <br /> light ridership periods. <br /> <br /> ALTERNATIVE 2 - Improvement of Peak Period Frequencies: <br /> <br /> This alternative incorporates the service modifications in <br /> Alternative 1, and provides 30 minute service on Wheels <br /> Routes 1, 2, and 3 and on RIDEO Routes 1 through 4. <br /> <br /> ALTERNATIVE 3 - Frequency Improvements Plus New Inter-City <br /> Routes: <br /> <br /> This alternative incorporates the service changes in <br /> Alternative 1 and frequency improvements of Alternative 2. <br /> It also includes a new route connecting Dublin, Pleasanton <br /> and Livermore; and a direct link to Chabot College from the <br /> Dublin/Pleasanton area. The attached map shows the proposed <br /> routes. <br /> <br /> The route connecting the three cities would replace existing <br /> BART Express Bus service. This would be a benefit to the <br /> integration of local service to the inter-city link. <br /> Convenient transfer opportunities with the BART Express Bus <br /> would still be provided. <br /> <br /> SR87:168 <br /> <br /> <br />
