Modify the island nose on the south leg of the intersection to accommodate the dual left from westbound Valley Avenue to southbound Santa Rita Road. 6. Review striping on Valley Avenue west of Santa Rita Road and modify if needed to align with the new lane configuration east of Santa Rita Road. Prepare signing and striping plans for the proposed striping and the relocation of signs as required. The plans will extend to show the transitions of the proposed striping into the existing striping. 7. Modify the traffic signal as needed based on the above curb relocations. It is anticipated that the work will include replacing the mast arm pole on the southeast pork chop island with one that will accommodate a longer mast arm, removing the pole on the southerly median island, replacing the mast arm pole on the southeast corner with one that includes a left turn head as well as a through vehicle head, and modifying the pole on the northwest corner to add a northbound to westbound left turn head. KHA will take direction from the City on whether or not to replace loops and loop pullboxes due to the fact that video detection is present at the intersection. Scope of Services Task 1-Project Administration and Management Lynne Filson will be responsible for the coordination of contracts and efforts for all of the team members. She will develop a comprehensive Work Plan and Schedule to accomplish the project goals in close coordination with the team members. In addition to the scoping meeting held on June 15, 2007, project team meetings will be held and scheduled around key project milestones, including: - After City's review of Conceptual Plans. KHA will submit conceptual plans to the City that may include optional ways of proceeding for some design elements. KHA will meet with the City to discuss alternative and set a course for the preliminary design. - After City's review of 75% PS&E submittal. This meeting will be used to discuss City comments and to verify that the City's design criteria are being implemented within the project plans. Task 2 -Base Mapping and DTM The City has provided a topographic survey of the area that will serve as a base. Mountain Pacific Survey (MPS) will provide the following supplemental surveying: - Location of the curb/pavement conforms at the northeast and southeast quadrants of the intersection and the conform at the most easterly extent of the proposed improvements. - The pavement area near the nose of the median relocation. - Curb lane stripes on Valley Avenue on the West side of Santa Rita Road. - Catch basin at the northeast corner and southeast corner of the intersection, a drop inlet on the southeast corner of the intersection and 3 area drains in the landscaping on the S:\Marketing\_Proposal & SOQ\Pleasanton\Santa Rita and Valley\Updated Letttt Proposal.doc
