City of Pleasanton <br /> <br /> .STAFF i B <br /> REPORT <br /> <br /> April 7, 1987 <br /> <br />HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />Pleasanton, California <br /> <br />Adoption of the Three Year capital Improvement Program (1987-sS <br />Through 1989-90) <br /> <br />Mayor and Members of the Council: <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />At the March 17, 1987 Council meeting, the Three Year Capital <br />Improvement Program was considered by the City Council. After <br />discussion, the Council agreed on several changes to the proposed <br />Capital Improvement Program and instructed the 'staff to place the <br />Capital Improvement Program on the April 7, 1987 agenda for <br />adoption. <br /> <br />Summarized below are the changes agreed to by the City Council by <br />major category. <br /> <br /> Street Projects <br /> <br /> The two changes the Council agreed to in street projects are <br /> listed below: <br /> <br /> 1. Study of soundwall on Foothill Road between Stoneridge <br /> and West Las Positas. <br /> <br /> The Council instructed the staff to include in the <br /> 1987-88 street capital improvement program an <br /> engineering study of the need for a soundwall along <br /> Foothill Road between West Las Positas and Stoneridge. <br /> The study is to include the change in traffic volume on <br /> Foothill since the West Las Positas overcrossing was <br /> opened, sound study of traffic noise, and revised cost <br /> estimate to construct the wall, landscaping and <br /> sidewalks. The staff estimates the cost of these <br /> studies to be approximately $75,000. <br /> <br /> SR87:.139 <br /> <br /> <br />
