The site is bordered by large residential lots (ranging in size from 10,000 to <br />15,000 square-feet) as shown in the aerial map below. The approximately 112 square- <br />foot hawk home, called a mew as noted above, is located in the rear yard area. The <br />dimensions are approximately 12 '/2 -feet long by 9-feet wide with a maximum height of <br />9-feet 6-inches (measured from grad to the highest point of the sloped roof ridge), meets <br />the required setbacks, and did not need to obtain a building permit. The size encumbers <br />less than one percent (<1%) of the rear yard area.
