progress payments due to contractors and verify <br /> the completion of the amount of work contractually <br /> required to support the payment requests of the <br /> contractors. <br /> <br /> 10. Meet with the contractor's representatives and <br /> assist the CLIENT as necessary to coordinate the <br /> performance of all parts of the work, to expedite <br /> equipment and material deliveries, to maintain <br /> planned construction schedules, and to generally <br /> effect management of the construction in accord- <br /> ance with the provisions of the Contract Docu- <br /> ments, as required, to anticipate and minimize <br /> delays. The CONSULTANT shall not direct or super- <br /> vise the contractor's personnel, operate or di- <br /> rectly use construction equipment. The contractor <br /> shall be responsible for construction means, <br /> methods, techniques, procedures, and safety pre- <br /> cautions on the PROJECT. <br /> <br /> 11. Negotiate with the contractors the scope and cost <br /> of change orders, using as a basis for such nego- <br /> tiations the records listed herein and documented <br /> material and labor costs. Prepare such change <br /> orders as may be required and certify them to the <br /> CLIENT for review, and for issue. <br /> <br /> 12. Assist the CLIENT's staff in preparation of weekly <br /> reports to appraise the parties of conditions <br /> affecting the construction of the PROJECT. These <br /> reports will include, but not be limited to, the <br /> following: <br /> <br /> a. Work accomplished during the week. <br /> <br /> b. Work anticipated for the following week. <br /> <br /> c. Cash flow projections. <br /> <br /> d. Information on materials and equipment deliv- <br /> eries. <br /> <br /> e. Change orders. <br /> <br /> f. Job problems and corrective actions taken. <br /> <br /> 13. Coordinate and work with the CLIENT's onsite in- <br /> spectors and other field personnel. Review such <br /> inspector's reports as the following: <br /> <br /> a. Daily diaries <br /> b. Material test reports <br /> c. Weld test reports <br /> <br />SJR1/057 -5- <br /> <br /> <br />
