However, in the event our staff encounters a condition <br />in which the contract documents contain unclear, contradictory or inadequate information to pernlit <br />the completion of the work, a "Request for Information" (RFI) will be submitted to the Project <br />Manager, Structural Engineer and!or other parties, as required. nor senior staff shall maintain a log <br />of all RFI's and their disposition.. <br />When observations or field/laboratory test results indicate that material or work in progress do not <br />conform to the requirements of the approved contract drawings or specifications, BSK will inforni <br />the Contractor of the defect. If deemed necessary, our staff will contact the Construction Manager, <br />Architect or Structural Engineer for clarification on the deficiency. ANon-Conformance Report <br />(NCR) may be initiated by the Technician or Inspector. The Senior Technician or Inspector will <br />maintain a log of NCR's and their resolutions. This will aid inproviding an up-to-the-minute "punch <br />lists" as the work progresses. <br />Material samples secured from or delivered to the project site will be clearly identified to establish <br />traceability and integrity cif the sample. Material samples shall be tagged with securely attached <br />labels indicating the sample type and description, sample source and location, required testing or <br />analysis, date sampled and the name of the person securing the sample. Material will be identified <br />through mill test reports, or other means of certification, as appropriate. <br />It has been our experience that following these procedures Allows for constant communications <br />among all parties. It also allows discovery and correction of potential problems before they become <br />real problems.
