Gotcher: <br />As requested, BSK Associates (BSK) is pleased to subtttit this proposal to provide geotechnical <br />testing and observation, special inspections/materials testing and engineering support services during <br />construction of the subject project. BSK, as Geotechnical Engineer-of-Record, has conducted a <br />subsurface soils im-estigation for the design and construction of this project and submitted a report <br />dated October ~, 20t)_5 (reference BSK Job No. G0~-199-1 1P). <br />1. Project Description, BSK Scope of Services and Proposed ~pproaelr <br />Based on our knowledge of site conditions as Geotechnical Engineer-of-Record <tnd review of your <br />reduest for proposal (RFP ), and project plans and specifications, we understand that the project W ork <br />generally ccrosists of the constntction of a 13.2-acre property tier Phase 1 of Bernal Community Park. <br />The Work includes the ci>nstniction of two (2) lighted baseball fields, one unlighted baseball field, a <br />paved parking lot, public restroom building, aorage building, access roadway and walkways, <br />including the extension of Pleasanton ;~vrnue froth ~~alley .venue, installation of underground <br />IntrASfrUCtUI'C regUlt'Cd tl1 serve the tilhu-e Community Park phases, including storm drainage, and <br />joint utilities. We tiu-ther understand that a great deal of fill material needed to grade the site will be. <br />iabtained from the existing on-site soil stockpiles and other sources which [3SK ;lssociates has <br />already tested the stockpiles for till suitability and related properties. <br />We propose to provide the following scope of services: (1 j collect samples of subgrade, general fill, <br />granular till, road base and trench backtill materials for laboratory moisture/density curve <br />determinations, sieve analyses, classification tests and R-value determination; (2) perti>rn field <br />observations and nuclear field density tests to monitor compaction; (3) provide geotechnical <br />consultation services, as required; (~}} pertorn~ required special inspection and materials testing in <br />accordance with the RFP and project plans and specifications;O document test data and <br />Geotechnical Engineering • Engineering Geology • Environmental Services • Construction Inspection & Testing • Analytical Testing <br />
