It may be necessary to conduct phone conferences prior to all
stakeholder meetings and public workshops.
Deliverables: Coordination with City
Estimated Fee: Time and Materials -hourly; $3,300 (see footnote)
Task A3: Public Workshops
RRM will organize and facilitate three public workshops to discuss the park design and program.
We anticipate that three meetings will be necessary.
The first and second meetings will include updating the public regarding input from stakeholder
groups in the spirit of transparency and openness. The format of the meeting will likely include a
presentation, followed by an open house to allow for input in anon-hearing format. Exercises will
be designed to gain input without allowing any one group to dominate the discussion. The
discussion will predominantly be organized to determine what the community thinks the
community park should look like and which elements are to be included in the context of the site.
It is anticipated that one meeting will be hosted on a weekday evening, and the other on a
Saturday.
Note: RRM will design each workshop in coordination with City staff. Format and exercises will be
determined to best communicate the information and move the project towards an acceptable
consensus as determined by the City.
Deliverables: Two meetings, workshop materials and results
Estimated Fee: Time and Materials -hourly; $10,200 (see footnote)
Task A4: Concept Plan Alternatives
Following discussions with the stakeholder groups and after the first public workshops, RRM will
prepare two or three concept plan alternatives for staff review. The concepts will reflect input from
the public comments and stakeholder groups. The concept alternatives will show scope of potential
improvements and locations for any proposed facilities. The concept plan(s) will be presented to
the community at the third public workshop.
Deliverables: Two (2) or three (3) concept plan alternatives (base plan provided by City)
Estimated Fee: Time and Materials -hourly; $10,000 (see footnote)
Task A5: Public Review of Master Plan Concept
The third meeting will provide a master plan graphic illustrating the input from the initial public
meeting. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the plan and provide input regarding
potential refinements. Depending on the input gathered in the first meetings, two or three
alternatives may be presented to the staff prior to the public meeting.
