• Community-at-Large member: Deborah Wahl (incumbent Alternate)
• Non-Motorized Transportation representative: Ralph Rajs
• Community-at-Large Alternate: Joe Streng
DISCUSSION
In reviewing the Committee's composition, the positions from East Bay Regional Park
District, Zone 7 Water Agency, and Pleasanton Police Department were reevaluated.
Since the Committee's inception, these representatives have primarily served as
advisors to the Committee. As such, staff presented to the Commission a proposal to
re-designate these three (3) positions as non-voting advisors, and the Commission
concurred with the proposal. If this recommendation is approved, this would result in
seven (7) voting Committee members (3 Community-at-Large members, the Non-
Motorized Transportation representative, the Regional Trails representative, aYouth
Commission representative, and a Parks and Recreation Commission
representative/Committee Chair).
At its September 13, 2007 meeting, the four (4) Commission members present reviewed
the recommendations of the Selection Subcommittee. (Copies of all applications are
being provided to the Council under separate cover.) The Commission could not reach
consensus on the recommendations, and deferred action to the October 11, 2007
meeting, when all Commissioners would be in attendance and able to provide further
input.
At the October 11, 2007 meeting, the Commission reviewed the recommendations and,
by a 3-2 vote (Ellgas, Kummer), endorsed the recommendations of the Selection
Subcommittee. A copy of the Commission's draft minutes concerning this item are
attached for the Council's review.
fitted by:
,,,, . -L.
~ es W.
