• <br />• <br />Engineer of demand for payment and the amount thereof. The <br />deterr.~ination of such share, in the event it is not made <br />part of an assessment district, shall be done on an ec;uitable <br />basis. <br />III. T~7ATER SERVICE IMPROVEI~NTS <br />Developer agrees to pay his share of the cost of the <br />water facilities necessary to serve the project site or made <br />necessary due to the cumulative development of the North <br />Pleasanton area. dater facilities necessary shall be those <br />identified as short- and long-term improvements identified <br />in .the above-mentioned study and as deemed necessary by the <br />Gity. Developer agrees to particiapte in the funding of <br />such improvements in whichever manner best achieves timely <br />completion of such improvements concurrent with the development <br />of the project site. The City may require funding by (1) assessment <br />district or districts in which Developer agrees to place the <br />project site; (2) benefit district proceedings; or (3) any. <br />other mechanism or combination of mechanisms determined <br />necessary by the City Engineer and/or the City L~ttorney. <br />If Developer installs on the project site a deep well <br />useable for fire service backup in the ITorth Pleasanton <br />area, or oversized water mains, or any other water facilities <br />which are both in excess of the capacity required for the <br />project site alone and create a reduction in the cost of the <br />new water facilities necessary for the North Pleasanton <br />area, the Developer will be credited for such reduction <br />-4- <br />
