. _! ~ <br />mechanism or combination of mechanisms determined necessary by <br />the City Engineer and/or the City Attorney. <br />If Developer installs on the project site a deep .well usable <br />for fire service backup in the North Pleasanton area, or <br />over-sized water mains,. or any other water service facilities <br />which are both in excess of the capacity required for the <br />Property alone and create a reduction in the cost of the new <br />water service facilities necessary for the North Pleasanton <br />area, the Developer will be credited for such reduction and/or, <br />if permissible under the financing mechanism selected by the <br />City, directly reimbursed therefor. <br />II. FIRE SERVICE STUDIES AND REQUIREMENTS. <br />A. General- Obligation. Developer agrees to pay its <br />proporfiionate share 'of the cost of studies of fire service <br />requirements if-the cost of such studies is determined by City <br />to be apportioned as part of an assessment district or other <br />funding mechanism. Developer agrees to participate in the <br />financing of the fire apparatus, manpower, and other fire safety <br />facilities. required to serve the Project or made necessary due <br />to the cumulative development of major commercial/industrial <br />projects. Fire apparatus, manpower and other facilities <br />necessary shall be those identified as required to maintain <br />existing levels of fire service in the above-mentioned studies <br />and as deemed necessary by the City Manager. Developer agrees <br />to participate in the funding of such apparatus, manpower and <br />other facilities in whichever manner best achieves the <br />maintenance of existing levels of fire service through timely <br />-3- <br />
