alternative measures approved by the Regional Water Quality Control
Board that aze equally protective of groundwater quality.
• Projects within the Specific Plan area that might generate pollutants to
groundwater (roadways, parking lots) must provide for pretreatment
before runoff is released to the detention basins.
• The potential agricultural club would be designed to channel animal waste
to the City's sanitary sewer, or to otherwise manage that waste to avoid
water pollution.
Any and all wells on the site are to be properly managed (protected and
maintained) or destroyed in accordance with state regulations.
Specific Plan, p. 74-76; DEIR, pp. 90-92; Response to Comments, p. 30.
Land Use and Planning
No significant adverse impacts
Noise
1. Potential for groundborne vibration
Findin .The City finds that the following mitigation measure is feasible and has
been incorporated into the Specific Plan, thereby mitigating the impact to a
less-than-significant level:
• all vibration sensitive uses of site structures (such as educational facilities)
located in sub-areas 7, 8, 9, 1 Q and 16 should be located more than 100
feet from the edge of the nearest railroad track.
Specific Plan, p. 69-72; DEIR, p. 108.
Bernal Property Phase II Specific Plan and Bernal Community Nark Master Plan
Environmental Impact Report Findings and Statement of Overriding Considerations Page 17 of 24
