7. MATTERS BEFORE THE COMMISSION
A. Consideration of Public Trails and Access to Approximately 500 Acres of Open Space
within the 51-Unit Oak Grove Development, PUD-33
Mr. Wolfe reviewed with the Commission the outcome of the joint Commission and Trails Ad-Hoc
Committee workshop held prior to the meeting, and the public input received. He suggested that the
Commission consider all of the information, and make a formal recommendation on this matter to the
Planning Commission.
Chairperson Pentin requested that Mr. Wolfe review with the Commission the details of Alternative 5,
which had been presented at the workshop. Mr. Wolfe advised that this new Alternative would include:
1) an 11-space staging area near the water tank at the end of Hearst Drive, 2) a restroom facility similar to
the single restroom at The Preserve, and 3) a water trough for horse usage and source for drinking water.
Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes
January 11, 2007
Page 2
