3. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO
ADDRESS THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS
NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA.

Kevin Close, 871 Sycamore, inquired whether the resolution and visibility of the site

locations on the staff reports could be improved on the City website. He noted that he
had attended a meeting regarding the development of the southeast Pleasanton areas and
noted that the EVAs were walkable. He would like to have more neighborhood parks
rather than just trails and open space.

Chairperson Fox noted that the resolution problems mentioned by Mr. Close may be a
function of the copying machine and thanked him for bringing that issue to the
Commission’s attention.

Lee Fulton, 3407 Brandy Court, noted that he had a longer prepared statement than would
fit within the five-minute time limit and requested additional speaking time during the
Oak Grove item. The Commissioners had no objections.

4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA

Ms. Decker advised that there were none.

Chairperson Fox requested that the two Consent Calendar items be pulled for further
discussion and that Oak Grove be heard first as an item continued for decision. She
inquired whether that would be amenable to the Planning Commission.

Commissioner Narum expressed concern that Oak Grove may take a very long time and
noted that the Stanley Center (PDR-563) item had a time constraint. She was concerned
that the other items would be addressed very late, with the possibility of being continued.
She suggested that the Consent Calendar items be heard first.

Commissioner Blank concurred with Commissioner Narum’s suggestion.

Ms. Decker stated that these two items were placed in the Consent Calendar section due
to their noncontentious nature and in an effort to facilitate the process. She noted that the
two items were non-controversial and that the applicants were happy with the conditions.
In addition, there were no public comments on those items. She invited Chairperson Fox
to voice her concerns.

Chairperson Fox expressed concern that the Stanley Center item was being presented for
approval without a traffic study before the building permit stage. The previous
application at that corner was the gas station and that item had two workshops and then
two public hearings due to a tie vote. She would like to discuss traffic for that
application.

PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES June 27, 2007 Page 2 of 28
