Presentation by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6298 in recognition of the City's <br />support of its programs <br />Councilmember Sullivan introduced VFW Commander David Ham and other members for <br />the presentation. Mr. Ham noted in the summer of 2005 they came before the Council and <br />asked that the Council adopt, by resolution, a unit that was being sent to Iraq. He noted all <br />52 members of Charlie Company were also adopted by members of the community. Over <br />1,000 packages were sent jointly with the City of Pleasanton, the VFW and the American <br />Legion to those soldiers. He announced that all those adopted members of Charlie <br />Company have returned home and they are all healthy.
