Norman Thomas addressed the Council for support to not hold a public debate on the war
in Iraq.
Doug Miller addressed the Council in support of removing the forum on the war. No one was
questioning anyone's patriotism. He indicated his support for a moment of silence for
veterans and service members.
Hal McGurk addressed the Council indicating the hot button was pushed when the Iraqi
war was being discussed. He commented on how proud he is of his son that is serving in
the war.
Dan Faustina addressed the Council and thanked them for removing the discussion
regarding the war from the agenda. He indicated he felt the discussion would be very
divisive and that Council should only concern themselves with local issues.
Dorene Paradiso addressed the Council indicating her support for removing the item
regarding adiscussion/forum on the war. She feels a discussion would be better hosted
by the local congressman.
Art Tenbrink addressed the Council indicating his son is in the service and he is saddened
that the Council has chosen not to have a healthy dialog regarding Iraq, he is glad that
Council will work with the local congressman to open a safe path to discuss this issue.
Mary Roberts addressed the Council in support of removing the agenda item regarding a
discussion of the Iraq war.
Howard Neely addressed the Council regarding the local cemetery and the improvements
that have been made.
Michael Hamilton addressed the Council in support of the decision to take the Iraq war
discussion off the agenda.
N.
