CONSENT CALENDAR Sonia Gupta spoke to Item 4b stating her objection to the Planning Commission's November 29th action approving the St. Elizabeth's Church's plan to build a gymnasium and a religious center, PDR 561 - PV 158. She indicated she is not opposed to the project as long as it conforms to the design review approval of 1998 by the City Council to build the proposed center on the east side of the church. The original site is much larger and could support the project easily. She felt the action taken by the Planning Commission was in violation of the Council's direction in 1998. She requested that Council assign an external mediator who will evaluate the proposal in an impartial manner and give her neighborhood a fair hearing. Staff noted that a member of the City Council could appeal this decision tonight or Ms. Gupta could make an appeal application to the Planning Department appealing it to the City Council within 15 days of the Planning Commission's action. 4a. Approved the purchase of the painting "Bucket of Bolts" by Ray L. McGinnis at a cost of $2,200 for the City's fine art collection (SR 06:216) 4f. Approved plans and specifications, review of bids and awarded a contract to low bidder, SRP Company in the amount of $228,982 for replacement of existing fence along the south side of Stoneridge Drive easterly of Val Vista Park, Project No. 058018 (SR 06:266) 4g. Accepted PUD-91-14-01M, Chris Beratlis, an application for a minor modification to the approved PUD development plan (PUD-91-14) for the 15-lot Beratlis Place subdivision; Tract 5904, located north of Crellin Road and east of Crestablance Drive to allow a maximum floor area of 5,500 square feet, including basements and garage square footage in excess of 700 square feet; and house colors to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
