McGinnis who painted "Bucket of Bolts" which was <br />approved for purchase under Item 4e. <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br />5a. Public Comment <br /> <br />Howard Neely addressed the Council regarding the city's option to buy the cemetery <br />by December 13th. He noted he has spoken with Mr. Barnes and there has been no <br />option signed at this point. <br /> <br />City Manager Fialho noted that a sales and purchase agreement that will be before the <br />Council on December 19th and staff has been in discussions with Mr. Barnes. He <br />noted that an appraisal of the property is being prepared as well as a site-one <br />environmental analysis. <br /> <br />Mr. Neely confirmed with the City Manager that a public restroom is due to open soon. <br /> <br />Fred Norman addressed the City Council regarding his desire to see the City Council <br />schedule one-minute of silence for the troops on the agenda on a regular basis. <br /> <br />Julie Testa addressed the City Council thanking Councilmember Brozosky for his <br />effectiveness and service on the City Council. <br /> <br />Kevin Close addressed the City Council regarding the Happy Valley Specific Plan and <br />the amendments that have been made to the Plan. He asked that the Council uphold <br />the goals and policies included in the plan. <br /> <br />Chris Miller addressed the City Council asking them to keep our troops in their <br />thoughts and prayers. He commented on holiday efforts extended to the troops. <br /> <br />Jed Bing addressed the City Council congratulating those who were recently elected. <br />He announced the 2006 Pleasanton Weekly Holiday Fund and reported on the <br />success of previous efforts. <br /> <br />6.
