She asked for clarification as to how land use items
are presented to the voters. The description of the proposed project is good.

Mr. Brozosky said that the use of the term "community park" as used in the ballot
argument may be confusing since the Measure excludes the earlier approved community park.

Mr. Thorne noted that earlier language used "Grand Park".

Ms. McGovern suggested using Bernal Property Park or Bernal Park. She noted that it
is important to include Bernal in the name for familiarity.

Mr. Brozosky suggested the use of "Grand Park".

Mayor Hosterman asked if the intent would be to replace "Grand Park" with "Community
Park" throughout the document.

Mr. Brozosky suggested that Bernal Grand Park be inserted in three locations. He also
suggested replacing "will be" with "could be" in the sections concerning actual resources.

Ms. McGovern noted that it was obvious in the plan language that agricultural and Native
American areas were going to happen and therefore the use of "will be" would be appropriate.

Pleasanton City Council
Minutes

12

06/20/06
