(SR 06:052) <br /> <br />This item was continued to March 7, 2006. <br /> <br />6e <br />Authorization to enter into an aGreement with VMI. Inc.. for the installation of video <br />eGUiDment in the City Council Chambers. (SR 06:037) <br /> <br />Steven Bocian, Assistant City Manager, presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mr. Brozosky was concerned that the entire issue with regarding to technology was not <br />being fully addressed. <br /> <br />Mr. Bocian agreed with Mr. Brozosky. He noted there are some limitations primarily <br />related to the configuration and spacing of the Council Chambers as it is moved frequently. In <br />the majority of City Council Chambers, automated equipment and operations is permanent and <br />for Pleasanton's Council Chambers, the equipment cannot be permanent. <br /> <br />If there were Council support, Mr. Fialho said staff could return to Council with <br />aggressive recommendations in terms of addressing the technology for the Council Chambers <br />before the project was initiated. <br /> <br />Mr. Brozosky inquired about the time frame for this project. <br /> <br />Mr. Bocian said there was sufficient time if Council decided it wanted staff to conduct an <br />extensive review and return with additional options. <br /> <br />There were no public comments. <br /> <br />By consensus of the Council, staff was directed to look at other options and <br />recommendations to address advanced technology for the Council Chambers, and then <br />return the matter to Council. <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Mr. Thorne asked staff to provide a report on the annexation efforts within the Remen <br /> <br />Tract. <br /> <br />Mr. Fialho said staff could provide a staff report to Council including a list of options for it <br />to consider in a public session. <br /> <br />Mr. Thorne inquired about making the berm located on the west side of Interstate 680 <br />esthetically pleasing. <br /> <br />Mr. Fialho said staff would review the matter as it pertained to the conditions of approval <br />related to the Greenbriar Development. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council <br />Minutes <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />02/07/06 <br />
