Mr. Brozosky questioned whether additional funding should be allocated prior to
any discussions.

Mr. Fialho recommended placing funding into this project assuming that the
discussion will be held soon.

Ms. McGovern also asked staff to prepare a listing of all CIP projects with the
current amounts and additional amounts staff believes will need to be added. She
asked when staff would provide its recommendation to Council for the Donlon School
Sports project?

Mr, Fialho said the discussion would take place sometime in June with the
Pleasanton Unified School District Liaison Committee. Staff would then be ready to
give Council a recommendation on how to proceed; however, action to fund Donlon
School would not occur until July or August.

Ms. McGovern asked if staff was still considering Pleasanton Middle School for
lighted tennis courts.

Mr. Fialho said yes assuming the Parks and Recreation Commission makes that
recommendation to Council.

Ms. McGovern asked if staff was requesting Council to allocate funding for the
2005-06 year or for all four years at the June 21 meeting.

Mr. Fialho said only for the first two years.

Ms. McGovern questioned a chart on page number XlV that represented reserve
projects and projects submitted for additional funding. She questioned whether it was a
two-year plan, and if staff was asking Council to agree to place additional funding in
each of the projects listed.

Mr. Bocian said that was correct.

Ms. McGovern questioned the Bernal Creek Restoration increase of
approximately $3 million dollars.

Mr. Bocian said this project is not necessarily increasing but it actually reflects
more of the actual project costs.

Ms. McGovern questioned the additional half million dollars for the Veteran's
Memorial Building.

Mr. Bocian said this project had been planned for sometime.

Ms. McGovern questioned the Aquatic Center expansion project and whether
Council was aware of this project during its priorities setting session.

City Council Workshop
15 06/08/05
