Aooointment of City Council Representative to the Tri-Valley Highway Planninq <br /> Study (SR 05:015) <br /> <br /> Rob Wilson, Director of Public Works, presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Hosterman noted that the Alameda County Congestion Management <br /> Agency had originally suggested that the committee be comprised of all three Mayors in <br /> the Tri-Valley area as well as two county supervisors representing the Livermore Valley. <br /> In addition, the Alameda Congestion Management Agency asked that each Mayor <br /> appoint one additional councilmember to this Committee. She has appointed Ms. <br /> McGovern to serve on this Committee with her, and Ms. McGovern has accepted the <br /> appointment. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Hosterman, seconded by Mr. Sullivan, to adopt <br /> Resolution 05-002, a resolution ratifying the Mayor's appointment of Ms. <br /> McGovern (in addition to the Mayor) as the councilmember representative to the <br /> Tri-Valley Highway Planning Study Policy Oversight Committee. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, and Mayor <br /> Hosterman <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br />-- ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> In response to an inquiry by Mr. Brozosky, Mayor Hosterman stated that this <br /> Committee would begin meeting on January 31, 2005. <br /> <br /> Mayor Hosterman reminded Council that at its last meeting, it had a discussion <br /> regarding committee assignments. She had previously designated herself as one of the <br /> Council representatives to the School District Liaison Committee. She was unable to <br /> attend the Committee meeting in December and asked Ms. McGovem to attend. She <br /> mentioned that she was impressed with Ms. McGovern's level of expertise and <br /> understanding of the issues and believed she would be invaluable on this Committee. <br /> She asked Ms. McGovern her to take her place as the representative to the School <br /> District Liaison Committee and to continue to serve on this committee. <br /> <br /> Ms. McGovern accepted the appointment. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush suggested that Council consider this as an item under Matters <br /> Initiated by Council. Staff will agendize this matter for January 18, 2005. <br /> <br /> 7. MA'FI'ERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> Mr. Brozosky asked for a status update on the easements for the GE property. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush said this matter would be discussed with Council in Closed Session <br /> on January 18, 2005.
