The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Sullivan, and Mayor Hosterman
NOES: Councilmembers - Brozosky and McGovern
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Mayor Hosterman asked Mr. Brozosky and Ms. McGovern to provide her a list of
the various local and regional boards and commissions they would be interested in
serving on.

Ms. McGovern believed that all councilmembers should equally carry a full load.
She suggested that Mayor Hosterman consider predesignating some of the
appointments for the newly elected councilmember.

Mr. Fialho noted that the School District Liaison Committee and the Livermore
Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) would have meetings in the month of
December.

Mayor Hosterman noted that there is a possibility of a special meeting of the
Livermore Amador Valley Water Management Authority Commission for three items that
are time sensitive.

Mr. Fialho suggested that Council discuss what local and regional boards and
commissions they are interested in serving on to see if there is compromise that can be
made in public session.

Mr. Roush suggested that Council try to reach consensus as to the appointments
for those commissions and committees that will meet before the end of the year.

Ms. McGovern indicated that she would be interested in being appointed to the
Livermore Amador Valley Water Management Agency and the School District Liaison
Committee.

Mayor Hosterman said she did not intend to change the appointments to the
Livermora Amador Valley Water Management Agency at this time because she is
currently Chair. This Agency is also looking at some energy issues and she believed Mr.
Sullivan would be the appropriate appointee, as he is currently attending these meetings
as a representative of the Pleasanton Energy Committee.

Mr. Sullivan indicated that he would to give up his appointment as one of the
appointees to the Dublin San Ramon Services District Liaison Committee if Ms.
McGovern were interested.

Ms. McGovern reiterated her concern about the number of committees that
Mayor Hosterman is serving on in addition to her duties and responsibilities as Mayor.

Mayor Hosterman indicated that the Tri-Valley Cemetery group and the
Livermore Airport Master Plan Advisory Committees have completed its work. She
asked Ms. McGovem if she would be interested in being an appointee to the Dublin San
Ramon Services District Liaison Committee in place of Mr. Sullivan?

Pleasanton City Council 9 12/07/04
Minutes
