Mr. Fialho said that the Growth Management Committee is a standing committee
and meets periodically.

Mr. Brozosky believed the last meeting of the Livermore Airport Master Plan
Advisory Committee was last week.

Mayor Hosterman said that was correct.

Mr. Brozosky said that he was not interested in remaining the appointee to the
Associated Community Action Program (ACAP) Committee.

Ms. Hosterman believed that the ACAP Committee had recently been
deactivated, but it was her understanding that it would become active again. When
making these appointments, she wanted to have an opportunity to serve on various local
and regional committees with each member of the City Council.

There were no public comments.

Ms. McGovern was concerned about the number of committees that Mayor
Hosterman was serving on in addition to her duties and responsibilities as Mayor. She
indicated her interest in serving on the Livermore Amador Valley Water Management
Agency Committee (LAVWMA) or the School District Liaison Committee. It is important
to her that the City of Pieasanton is represented on all regional and local committees
and that Councilmembers appointed to these commissions and committees provide a
status report to the entire Council that could be discussed at a public meeting.

Ms. Hosterman indicated that she would be interested in relinquishing her seat
on the Livermore Amador Valley Water Management Agency Committee after she
completes her term as Chair.

Ms. McGovern indicated that she would be willing to serve as the Council
appointee to the Associated Community Action Program (ACAP).

Mayor Hosterman indicated that she would remain as the alternate to the
Associated Community Action Program.

Mr. Brozosky questioned the role of alternate. It is important for this Council to
have full representation on all of the regional and local commissions and committees. A
procedure needs to be in place so that the altemate is informed if the appointee cannot
attend a meeting.

It wee moved by Mr. Sullivan, seconded by Mayor Hosterman, to appoint
Mr. Brozosky as Vice Mayor and to approve the Mayor's appointments to regional
and local authorities, boards, commissions and committees, with the change of
appointing Ms. McGovern as the appointee to the Associated Community Action
Program (ACAP).

Pleasanton City Council 8 12/07/04
Minutes
