It was moved by Mr. Brozosky, seconded by Ms. Ayala, to approve the <br />minutes of 09/07/04, 09/21/04, 10/05/04, 10/19/04, 11/2J04, and the minutes of the <br />Joint Powers Financing Authority of 11/02/04, with s correction to page 11 of the <br />09/21/04 minutes to reflect that Mr. Brozosky seconded the motion. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and <br /> Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Adopt a resolution ecceptinq the results of the November 2~ 2004 Gener,=' <br />Municioal Election. (SR 04:298) <br /> <br /> Dawn Abrahamson, City Clerk, presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Mr. Campbell, to adopt Resolution <br />04-090, a resolution canvassing the election returns and declaring the results of <br />the November 2, 2004 regular Municipal Election. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and <br /> Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />RECOGNITION OF OUTGOING COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell thanked the people of Pleasanton for the honor of serving them. <br />He also thanked the current Council and past Councils. He entered into the position of <br />Councilmernber with a great deal of reverence towards the City of Pleasanton and the <br />trust that was bestowed upon him to represent the people. He took the position of <br />Councilmember seriously and was mindful of the tremendous amount of responsibility <br />that this Council holds. He pointed out that the office of the private citizen is the most <br />important office and he is looking forward to being a private citizen and an advocate for <br />Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala congratulated the new Council and was proud of the candidates that <br />ran for office. She reminded everyone that their family and friends are the most <br />important people in our lives and wished everyone a wonderful holiday. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE FOR NEWLY ELECTED MAYOR AND COUNClLMEMBERS <br /> <br /> The Honorable Judge Alice Vilardi, Superior Court Judge, administered the oath <br />of office to Mayor Hosterman, Ms. McGovern and Mr. Sullivan. <br /> <br /> The newly elected officials toOk their place on the dais. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 2 12/07/04 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
