David Bouchard, 777 Peters Avenue, representing the Pleasanton Chamber of <br />Commerce, congratulated Nelson Fialho on his appointment and reiterated Ms. <br />Hosterman's comments regarding support of Preposition lA. He then acknowledged the <br />City's continued support of the Business Expo and thanked Pamela Ott and Lisa <br />Adamos for their cooperation. <br /> <br /> Dick Fitzmaurice, 7230 Foothill Road, Chairman of the Business Expo <br />Committee, announced the forthcoming Business Expo on October 28, 2004 and invited <br />the Council to attend. He described the exhibits and events and noted the appearance <br />of Will Durst as the special guest. He thanked the sponsors who are participating in the <br />event. <br /> <br /> Jerry Wagner, 6344 Alisal Street, said that at the last meeting, he asked three <br />questions and requested an answer in writing. He has not received anything. He did not <br />believe Council was following the community of character guidelines. He complained <br />about the proposed change in density on the Spotorno property and about the poles and <br />netting for the golf course driving range. He believed the golf course was polluting the <br />Happy Valley aquifer and well water. The bypass road has still not been resolved. He <br />complained about the extra costs for the golf course. He made comments about various <br />actions of the City Attorney, which he felt cost the City a great deal in settlements and <br />cost overruns. <br /> <br /> Kurt Kummer, 4456 Clovewood Lane, welcomed Mr. Fialho as City Manager and <br />thanked Deborah McKeehan, Mayor Pico, and Councilmember Campbell for the <br />wonderful jobs they have done. He asked for volunteers to help with the Hometown <br />Holiday Parade on December 4. He noted the volunteer application can be found on the <br />City's website or at the City Clerk's office. He talked about bicyclists who have difficulty <br />triggering the traffic signals and explained about the sensors in the street and how to get <br />them to recognize a bicyclist. <br /> <br />6.
