He noted the oath of office will be given in the Clerk's <br />office as soon as possible, so the members can begin work as soon as possible. The <br />official welcome reception will not be held until January. The City was fortunate to have <br />so many excellent candidates for the positions. <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Jack Dove, 5250 Case Avenue #110, thanked Mayor Pico and Council member <br />Campbell for their service on the Council. He referred to incidents when the Mayor <br />recused himself from agenda items dealing with the downtown. He believed that <br />anything that occurred downtown affected the entire city and the entire Council should <br />deal with the items. <br /> <br /> Janet El Gammal, 865 Clara Lane, complained about the access to Clara Lane <br />caused by construction on Vineyard Avenue. During rainy periods, the gravel read is a <br />mess. She was told the relocated mailbox would be accessible from her car and that <br />has not happened yet. The other issue of concern is the sewer line extension up her <br />driveway. To date there is no information on how or when this will happen.
