When staff says it will integrate
information and input, does that include the possibility of a YMCA project?

Mr. Rasmussen said it would. Staff would present a list of potential uses to
Council that were used for the design competition and at Council direction to find a
location for a private youth club or city teen center.

Mr. Wolfe continued with the staff presentation and introduced Michael
Fotheringham.

Mr. Fotheringham referred to the unified concept plan, which deals specifically
with the sports fields. He briefly related the status of the planning process and the
proposals for meetings.

Ms. Ayala expressed her concerns regarding the baseball fields and inquired
about the locations of the fields.

Mr. Fotheringham said the location could be impacted depending on input
regarding other elements of the park plan. He believed there were very good reasons
for locating the fields as proposed, but he will not have a final answer until all input is
considered.

Ms. Ayala indicated she liked the location of the circle amphitheater.

Pleasanton City Council 20 10/05/04
Minutes
