Mr. Brozosky noted that the applicant is required to obtain a minimum of 50
points with the Alameda County Waste Management Authority's green point rating
system. He asked if Council needed to adopt the green point rating system in the form of
an ordinance.

Mr. gwift said that Council would ultimately adopt the green point rating system
in the form of an ordinance. When this project was originally approved, it was approved
with a menu of energy conservation measures, and rather than use those same measures,
staff has substituted the current !ist with the 50 green points, which the applicant will
meet.

Mayor Pico declared the public hearing open.

There were no speakers and the public hearing was closed.

It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Hosterman, finding that the
PUD development plan is consistent with the General Plan, Vineyard Avenue
Corridor Specific Plan and the purposes of the PUD ordinance, and introducing
Ordinance No. 1907, an ordinance approving the development plan for Case PUD-
34, subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit B.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers -Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and

Mayor Pico
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

PAP-64/PCUP-109, Robert J. She asked staff if there would be an opportunity to change the
zoning in the future to allow for 'more attractive uses, and would there be other tenants
that might be attracted to this pan of town?

Mr. Swift pointed out that the existing General Plan for this area is industrial.
This area is zoned Industrial Park which would support almost any kind of office use.
This site has been looked at extensively by potential office users, but given the state of
the economy and the Tri-Valley, this has not been the desired use of those that have been

Pleasanton City Council 5 06/15/04
Minutes
