5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brozosky presented a commendation to Sheri-Michele Sy Bachelor <br />for receiving an Associate in Arts Degree prior to completing high school. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky presented commendations to Hunter Laine, Sachin Dhar, Kelly <br />Villanueva, Patricia Walchessen, Preston Hedrick, and Brooke Irish of the Hearst <br />Elementary School's Designation ImagiNation Team, "The Sea Monkeys," for <br />competing in the Global finals in Tennessee. He also presented commendations to Sargun <br />Dhillon, Adam Siegel, Brian Louie, Nick Siamas, and James Hedrick of the Pleasanton <br />Middel School's Designation ImagiNation Team, "Carpe Diem," for competing in the <br />Global finals in Tennessee. Commendations were also presented to Elizabeth Flores, <br />Team Manager, and Mary Anne Freitas, Site Coordinator. <br /> <br />Other Speakers <br /> <br /> Bruce Torquemada, 3072 Alburni Court, expressed his disappointed over the lack <br />of progress for the construction of Neal School, and made comments in reference to the <br />litigation with Signature Properties et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School District. <br /> <br />There were no further speakers. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />PUD-34~ Tom and Tracy Miller. (SR 04:141) <br />Application for Planned Unit Development (PUD) development plan approval to <br />subdivide a 1.9.acre parcel into two new nin~le-famil¥ en~tom home lots. Tb_e <br />orooertv is located at 2562 Vineyard Avenue (Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific <br />Plan Lot 11) and is zoned PUD-LDR ~PIgnned Unit Development - Low Density <br />Residential) District. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico stated that Tony and Tracey Miller are his clients, but they do not <br />exceed the financial threshold of $250 a year that would disqualify him from <br />participating in this matter. <br /> <br />Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hosterman asked if there were any plans or if there was an opportunity to <br />continue the streetscape as it currently appears in front of Ruby Hills? She would like <br />this streetscape continued throughout the Vineyard Avenue Corridor. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said that the current streetscape as it appears in front of Ruby Hills is <br />not practical for this site.
