Ms. Ayala believed this design concept needed to make the connection of Valley <br />Avenue to Junipero Street. She liked the use of hops in the landscape but believed that <br />this design concept did not provide enough natural open space. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky liked the photographic images on the presentation board. He liked <br />the boardwalk concept. He supported the use of hops but would like to see a history of <br />roses included. He believed that livestock and certain crops should be kept away from <br />the homes. He also believed that this design concept was too busy with too many uses. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico liked the streams. He believed this design plan did a better job of <br />preserving some of the views of the outlying scenic hills along Bemal Avenue. He was <br />supportive of not placing the sports fields next to Bemal Avenue. He believed that a <br />major focal point was missing from this design concept. <br /> <br />Council provided comments on Submittal #12 - Nuvis, San Ramon, California. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala liked the overall plan, water feature, civic arts center, and street <br />roundabout. While she liked the sports field concept, she questioned its practicality. She <br />also liked the open feeling created by this plan. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell liked the water features and meandering streams. He believed that <br />the sports fields are situated too far apart. He was concerned about the feasibility of the <br />baseball "pin-wheel." <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky liked the baseball "pin-wheel" and the symmetry of the plan. He <br />also liked the "Butterfly Walk?' and related features as well as the large meadow area. He <br />believed that a farmers market is not appropriate for the Bemal Property. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hosterman thought this design concept was interesting. She was concerned <br />about the baseball "pin-wheel" concept. She liked the circular design of the civic arts <br />center, the barrier between the homes and sports fields, the water features, and the <br />agricultural area west of 1-680, but without the farmers market. She believed that the <br />sports fields needed to be closer together. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico liked the water features and the open views through the site from <br />Bernal Avenue. He did not believe that a farmers market was an appropriate use for the <br />Bernal Property. <br /> <br /> Council provided comments on Submittal #9 - Interstice Architects, San <br />Francisco, California. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hosterman believed that the central lake should be mom natural looking.
