Mr. Brozosky mentioned that he was concerned that the City of Livermore would
hold its Planning Commission meetings before the public comment period was closed.
He expressed these concerns with the Mayor of Livermore and learned that there would
be more Planning Commission meetings after the public comment period was closed.

Ms. Ayala asked if the oral comment period as it related to the proposed
expansion of the airport was extended?

Mr. Roush believed the reference that was made related to the written comment
period, which he believed ends on April 8. If the Livermore Planning Commission were
to conduct a public hearing in the matter after that time, it would consider these
comments. He noted that the Livermore Planning Commission, or the Livermore City
Council at its public hearing, would consider additional comments, but the City of
Pleasanton would be best served by getting in its written comments in a timely fashion.

Ms. Ayala asked staff to alert the School District as it may wish to provide written
comments.

It was moved by Mayor Pico, seconded by Mr. Brozosky, to authorize staff to
send a modified letter to the City of Livermore stating the City's concerns regarding
the Livermore Municipal Airport Master Plan Update and the draft Negative
Declaration as presented by staff, including the concepts as proposed by Mayor
Pico.

The roll call vote was taken as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and

Mayor Pico
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

6d
Status report regarding_ the activities of the Pleasant Enerk~ Committee (PEC).
(SR 04:070)

Scott Baker, Assistant Director of Public Works/Operations, mentioned that two
PEC members have resigned and staff would like to know how Council wished to
proceed.

Ms. Hosterman asked if the PEC members would like to reduce the Committee to
18 members, or would it like to add additional membership?

Mr. Baker believed the Committee would like to have replacement members.

According to the staff report, Ms. Hosterman was aware that some of the
committee members have been attending meetings on a regular basis, and seem to have a

Pleasanton City Council 20 04/06/04
Minutes
