Mr. Grubstick mentioned that when stafflooked at alternatives for the repair work, it reviewed everything with PG&E. PG&E had its employees looking at this and everyone agreed that the grout injection method was the best way to handle it. Staff feels confident that it is taking the fight approach in conducting this repair. Ms. Ayala asked if there was a fiber optic cable on Vineyard Avenue? Mr. CJrubstick was not sure. He noted that when staff was looking at the construction, it noticed that there was a blank conduit in the duct bank. He did not know what that was used for, but did not believe there were any fiber optic cables in that duct bank. Ms. Ayala asked staffto find out. Ms. Hosterman liked the idea of doing whatever was needed to fill the need for special needs housing in the community. She asked if House, Inc. was looking at other properties? Mr. Bocian said yes. He reported that House Inc. had been actively pursuing properties because it sold one of its homes two years ago. He pointed out that the reason staffbegan these discussions was because House Inc. had been a recipient of CBDG and HOME money fi:om the City for some of its other houses that it currently has in the City. Ms. Hosterman asked if any kind of renovations that could accommodate this type of use would be substantial? Mr. Bocian said yes.
