Mr. Grubstick mentioned that when stafflooked at alternatives for the repair <br />work, it reviewed everything with PG&E. PG&E had its employees looking at this and <br />everyone agreed that the grout injection method was the best way to handle it. Staff feels <br />confident that it is taking the fight approach in conducting this repair. <br /> <br />Ms. Ayala asked if there was a fiber optic cable on Vineyard Avenue? <br /> <br /> Mr. CJrubstick was not sure. He noted that when staff was looking at the <br />construction, it noticed that there was a blank conduit in the duct bank. He did not know <br />what that was used for, but did not believe there were any fiber optic cables in that duct <br />bank. <br /> <br />Ms. Ayala asked staffto find out. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky pointed out that there is fiber optic cable in existing Vineyard <br />Avenue, which goes to Ruby Hill Drive. <br /> <br />No action was required as this was an informational report only. <br /> <br />6d <br /> Recommendation to nego0ste with House Inc.~ for use of City property located at <br /> 4242 Vervais Street. (SR 04:027) <br /> <br />Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager, presented the staffreport. <br /> <br /> Ms. McKeehan reported that a letter was received i~om Vema Garibaldi, 4230 <br />Vervais Street, who was opposed to the project. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hosterman liked the idea of doing whatever was needed to fill the need for <br />special needs housing in the community. She asked if House, Inc. was looking at other <br />properties? <br /> <br /> Mr. Bocian said yes. He reported that House Inc. had been actively pursuing <br />properties because it sold one of its homes two years ago.
