To him it appears that the project developer cannot control its <br />contractor or subcontractors. He will be observing the traffic and promised to turn <br />information into the public works director regarding violators exceeding the posted speed <br />limit. <br /> <br /> Kurt Kummer, 4456 Clovewood Lane and member of the Bernal Block Party <br />Planning Committee, invited everyone to the upcoming annual Bemal Block Party (Put <br />Your Feet On It) to be held April 2004. This party will allow the community the <br />oppommity to walk around the entire property and look at information booths regarding <br />potential land uses. Food and entertainment booths will be featured as well as a <br />barbecue. Volunteers are encouraged and needed fi'om residents of the community, <br />service dubs, youth organizations, performers, bands, etc. Those interested were <br />encouraged to join the Bemal Block Party Planning Committee by calling Parks & <br />Community Services at 931-5346. The next committee meeting will be held this coming <br />Thursday at 157 Main Street, Room A. City staffwould <br />provide an explanation as to what that means. Following the conclusion of staff's report, <br />Mayor Pico indicated he would open the public hearing to allow those who have filled <br />out a speakers card the oppommity to address the Council. <br /> <br />Brian SwiR presented the staffreport. <br /> <br />Mayor Pico opened the pubic hearing. <br /> <br /> Karl Hagmaler, 6577 Stanton Circle, was grateful the Siners withdrew their <br />appeal. He asked what type of action could be taken in order for the City Council and <br />Planning Commission to rezone Rosepointe to a single story area. This would prevent <br />submittal of future applications requesting second-story additions and let Rosepointo <br />remain as a comfortable, unique and charming development as it was intended to be. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift indicated that the City Council or Planning Commission may initiate <br />any of the options as outlined in the staff report. Another option would be to proceed <br />with public heatings through the Planning Commission, City Council and the entire <br />neighborhood.
