(SR 03:212) <br /> <br /> Ann Fox, 2866 Garden Creek Circle, opposed Option 1, which would take away the Iron <br />Horse Trail in Pleasanton. The trains are planned to be routed through residential <br />neighborhoods. She showed photos of the trail and proposed train route. There would be <br />impacts on the neighborhoods from noise. She did not think that route would provide more <br />ridership as claimed because it is not a direct route. She urged Council and the Mayor to oppose <br />Option 1 and to keep the Iron Horse Trail for the residents to enjoy. She supported routing the <br />train next to 1-580. <br /> <br /> Robert S. Allen, 223 Donner Avenue, former BART Director, said he was well <br />acquainted with the railroad industry equipment and operations. He said he would keep his <br />comments until the next meeting. <br /> <br /> Vanessa Kawaihau, 871 Sycamore Road, thanked Council for the allocation of $500,000 <br />towards the Happy Valley bypass road. She asked Council to consider any allocations for a <br />neighborhood park in south Pleasanton to be placed in the fund for the Bemal Property parks. <br /> <br />This item was continued to the August 5, 2003. <br /> <br />Item 6h <br />Review of Amendments to the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for Fiscal Years 2003- <br />2004 through 2006-2007~ including the Railroad Avenue Fire Station~ the Bernal Property. <br />Improvement Reserve and Happy Valley Bypass Road.
